Smith, Gabriel (1724 - 1783)

London-born Smith engraved portraits and romantic subjects. He went to Paris to develop his engraving skills, before returning to London and producing a series of highly decorative prints. Smith was one of the engravers of paintings after Sydney Parkinson's drawings for Banks' Florilegium.
